This forum focuses on IP issues facing those businesses, including strategies for drafting patent applications, cost-saving techniques for protecting trademarks, copyrights and more. Forums are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each quarter at the law firm offices at 111 Amherst Street, Manchester.

NHHTC Kocher Technology Scholarship

The Council has made education its #1 priority for the foreseeable future, and with that in mind, created a scholarship program that awards four children of NHHTC members scholarships of $2,000 annually for up to four years. These students are expected to enroll or be enrolled in curriculums that focus on science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) and to express a desire to stay and work in NH after graduation. This is an effort not only to provide something of value to members and their children, but also to attempt to keep more graduates in NH.

NHHTC Entrepreneur of the Year Award

Each year the NHHTC identifies and awards an individual(s) who has made significant contributions to the advancement of technology in their business and/or in New Hampshire. The Hall of Fame serves as a highly visible symbol of the New Hampshire commitment to high technology. It is one of several initiatives to help brand New Hampshire as a technology state. Each year, over one million visitors pass through this airport. Many will see this display with its large, stunning crystal award by artist Pepi Herrmann that is presented each year to the winner of Product of the Year.

NH Forum on the Future

Co-sponsored by the NHHTC and the NH College and University Council this forum focuses on those forces shaping the future of NH, including economic and education trends, demographic changes, environmental issues, etc. In its third year, the NH Forum on the Future brings together leaders from business, education and government five to six times a year with the mission of presenting these leaders with well researched facts and opinions on a range of issues. The expectation is those leaders will return to their jobs with information that is useful in their decision-making. Funding of the Forum comes from the NH Higher Education Assistance Foundation and the St. Mary Bank.

Politics and Eggs

NHHTC President, Fred Kocher, founded this breakfast series which meets every four years during the New Hampshire first-in-the-nation presidential primary. It brings together business leaders in NH to see and hear the candidates up close during the one year period before the primary. It is often recorded by CSPAN and has become a must stop on the road to the White House. It is co-sponsored by the NH Political Library and the New England Council.
