Event Details:

The annual NHHTC Product of the Year event is an exciting competition that selects the most innovative technology product from a New Hampshire company. The culmination of this competition takes place at the Product of the Year banquet held on November 15th at the Radisson Hotel-Center of NH in Manchester. The initial judging of all applications takes place prior to October 13th. The selected semi-finalists will then be required to present their products to the the esteemed judges on October 13 in Manchester NH.  Up to five finalist will be selected and awarded the Product of the year Judges' Award. These Finalist Judges' Award Winners will next present their products in a trade show format that includes a 7-minute presentation to the entire banquet audience on the night of November 15th.

At the banquet the entire audience casts their vote which counts towards 50% of the final tabulation and the initial judge's vote counts for the remaining 50%. The winner is announced at the banquet and will take home the prestigious NHHTC  Product of the Year crystal trophy. The trophy and the finalist's winning product will be on display at the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport to be viewed by millions of visitors throughout the year.

Application fees can be charged to Mastercard, Visa, American Express directly on this site or by check mailed to NHHTC, 23 Elm Street, Peterborough, NH 03458.

Eligibility:

1. Product submissions must have been released or significantly updated within 12 months prior to the submission date of September 30. Please note: semi-finalists will be required to present to the judges in Octobrer.

2. Products must have been developed in New Hampshire by a company, subsidiary or division based in New Hampshire. The business may be a sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation or other legal entity registered to do business in the state of New Hampshire.

3. To meet the high technology requirement of the competition, the product must fall into the broad category of “high tech” as solely determined by the NHHTC’s panel of judges selected for this competition.

Judging of Products

1. Entries will be judged based on the following criteria:  Innovation, Performance, Fulfillment of unmet market needs, Ease of integration into the product’s environment, Ease of use and manageability, Functionality, Value, Vendor support/customer service, Uniqueness, Documentation or a New Hampshire connection.

2. Judging will be conducted by a distinguished panel of professionals experienced in the development and commercialization of high tech products. Product of the Year “Judges’ Awards” will be granted to up to five high tech products, with the ultimate NH High Tech Product of the Year Award determined at the awards ceremony.

3. A member of the management team of each “Judges’ Award” winner must be available to make a 7-minute presentation to the audience, using PowerPoint or similar presentation software, followed by a brief Q&A on November 15, 2010. This will be a hard time cut off.

4. The final determination shall be made based on a combined weighting of the judges’ ranking and audience vote. The winning product will be announced during the awards ceremony, and a company representative must be present to be included in the selection process.
