Xiaomi has just launched what it calls the Basic Cybersecurity Level for Consumer Internet of Things Version 2.0 devices. This is the new security standard for all of the company’s IoT devices. Moreover, Xiaomi has also developed a standard for other companies to take advantage of.

The new proposals contain different requirements for the hardware, software and communication methods used by IoT devices. This is also information such as data security, privacy, communication security, authentication, data deletion and more.
