The Oppo Find N is the first foldable smartphone from this Chinese manufacturer. The phone has been on sale since mid-December, and it appears to be an extremely durable device.

Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus and CPO of Oppo, posted a photo on Weibo showing two Oppo Find N smartphones. According to Lau, one of these smartphones is his own and the other is from the research and development department. The latter has been folded and unfolded 100,000 times already. Lau asks to guess who’s who.

As you can see in the photo, neither phone has the characteristic groove on the screen that forms after the smartphone is constantly folded and unfolded. It is worth adding that the Oppo Find N has no groove, because it also uses a hinge in the form of a drop. Let us add, however, that, for example, the Motorola Razr 5G also has a similar mechanism, but still forms a groove. So it seems that the Chinese smartphone is really good in terms of endurance.

Opera has just released a beta version of its Web3 (Crypto Browser). We will find there many useful features for people who work with cryptocurrencies.

In the Web3 browser you will find features such as a built-in cryptocurrency wallet, as well as easy access to NFT and cryptocurrency exchanges. In addition, the browser also supports so-called dApps, that is, decentralized applications and other useful features. According to Opera, the goal is to simplify the Web3 user experience and open it up to mainstream customers.

A key feature is a cryptocurrency wallet that supports blockchains such as Ethereum, Bitcoin, Celo and Nervos. It will also collaborate with other services. The browser’s assumption is that you can access cryptocurrencies without having to install additional software extensions – so you can buy or exchange cryptocurrencies directly from the app layer.

As for cryptocurrencies, Singapore recently decided to completely ban advertisements related to these payment instruments, both on television, in the press and on the Internet. Spain, for its part, introduced new rules for influencers promoting cryptocurrencies.

Samsung confirms the launch of the S22. Samsung confirmed in an official announcement on its website that the latest flagship S22 series will premiere in February. There was also a hint that the company has completely abandoned the production of Note models.

The launch of Samsung’s flagship smartphones is always one of the most important events in the world of mobile devices this year. Samsung has officially confirmed in a blog post that the S22 series smartphones will premiere in February.

Everything also indicates that we won’t be waiting for a continuation of the Note series this year either. It is possible that the company has already completely abandoned the idea.

In particular, the manufacturer admitted that they are aware of the surprise caused by the absence of Note models last year. At the same time, the company assures that they have not forgotten the values represented by their device, and many of them will be reflected in the Samsung S22 Ultra. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, because the REM S21 Ultra has adopted the S-pen for a year now.

In addition to the aforementioned Ultra model, the S series will also include the S22 and S22 Plus. For these devices, the manufacturer will go a completely different way. These two new flagships will be smaller than their last year’s versions. The standard version of the S22 should be the smallest smartphone since the S10e. In recent years, the S21 and S20 were 6.2 inches. The S10 was 0.1 inch smaller. This year’s Samsung smartphone will be 6.06 inches. So Samsung’s last smaller flagship came in the first quarter of 2019. That means the S22 will be the smallest S-series device in three years.

Unfortunately, the smaller size also means a smaller battery. The S22 will use a 3,700 mAh battery. This is a drop from the S21 and S20, which used 300 mAh larger batteries. A similar situation is expected with the S22 Plus, which will be equipped with a 4,500 mAh battery. Only the Ultra version will keep last year’s level.

This year, Samsung will use its novelty to encourage customers to buy its flagship smartphones. The collaboration with AMD has already led to the Exynos 2200 with an integrated Exclipse GPU based on the AMD RDNA 2 architecture. This will bring the revolutionary ray tracing technology to smartphones.

The consequences of bacterial resistance to antibiotics could cause a pandemic in a pandemic. https://www.nhhtc.org/2021/03/23/the-consequences-of-bacterial-resistance-to-antibiotics-could-cause-a-pandemic-in-a-pandemic/ Tue, 23 Mar 2021 23:18:38 +0000 https://demo.walkerwp.com/walkermag/?p=75 Antibiotic-resistant bacteria are one of the most serious problems of modern medicine because, unfortunately, they are growing at such a rate that we cannot keep up with new drugs.

Antibiotic-resistant bacteria are one of the most serious problems of modern medicine because, unfortunately, they are growing at such a rate that we cannot keep up with new drugs. And they are causing real damageā€¦

Overuse of antibiotics as a result of misconceptions about their effectiveness in viral infections, or prescribing them without checking which bacteria are actually being dealt with, is causing antibiotic-resistant bacteria to grow at an alarming rate. More and more people are dying from common, previously curable infections as available antibiotics become less effective against them. What is the extent of this phenomenon?

Thanks to a study just published in the journal Lancet by an international team of researchers that includes data from 204 countries, we learn that more than 1.2 million people died in 2019 because of infections caused by antibiotic-resistant bacteria.

It is worth emphasizing that this is much higher than the annual number of deaths from AIDS or malaria, which in the same year cost us about 860,000 and 640,000 lives, respectively. Scientists point out that the poorest countries suffer the most, but antibiotic resistance poses a serious threat to all. Accordingly, they call for immediate major investments in new drugs, because it will take years to develop them, and in the meantime the situation will only get worse.

For example, UK experts warn that unwarranted attempts to treat COVID-19 with antibiotics could lead to a real pandemic in a pandemic environment.

It is also worth stressing that the figure of 1.2 million refers only to deaths directly caused by bacteria resistant to antibiotics (mainly lower respiratory tract infections such as pneumonia, which resulted in sepsis), because if we take into account deaths in which superbacteria played a role, we are talking about up to 5 million patients !

The most deadly of the bacteria is methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), but E. coli and several other bacteria known to be resistant are also on the list.

We also learn that the most vulnerable patient group is children under the age of 5, where one in five deaths is associated with antibiotic-resistant bacteria. As for the regions with the worst situation in general, i.e. patients of all ages, it is sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, where the death rate from superbacteria is 24 cases per 100,000 population.
