The New Hampshire High Technology Council’s TechWomen Ambassadors Committee, in conjunction with several high schools & CTE centers throughout New Hampshire, will be hosting TechWomen Ambassadors Week November 14 – 18, 2016. The event is targeting 9th grade girls. The two-hour sessions will take place in Lebanon, Nashua, Rochester, Manchester, Derry and Berlin. More information will be coming soon!
We would like to invite female industry representatives to participate for one or more events to represent the high tech industries and advanced manufacturing organizations. The professional STEM industry sectors we are seeking include: hardware, software, telecommunications, aerospace, robotics, biotech, development and programming, social media, engineering, and more.
If you would like to serve as a Tech Woman Ambassador, we welcome you to sign-up. You will be provided a volunteer placement survey that will give you more information along with a choice of sites/dates and types of opportunities that may interest you. From there we will work to place you with students in small group settings during a series of short workshops. Each small group of girls is seeking inspiration from your professional expertise, educational experience, advice and encouragement. They will greatly benefit from a visual, verbal, or hands-on demonstration representative of your field of practice. The plan is to cycle through at least 3 rounds of students during this round table discussion forum. You will be volunteering for a total of 2 hours in the classroom.
