Next Entrepreneur Forum scheduled for November 8.
Alec Rooney, Matthew Allard and Scott Goodrich will advise Senet, Inc. at the final installation of 2017 event series
Portsmouth-based Senet, Inc. will share its story with a panel of hand-selected experts and a live audience in the final event of the 2017 Entrepreneur Forum series on November 8. The carefully selected panel will offer expert advice to Senet’s Chief Operating Officer Brad Martin in efforts to help the company address the current opportunities and challenges it faces. The Entrepreneur Forum is one of the marquee event series run by the New Hampshire High Tech Council (Council), with three events per year, this event is the final one of 2017.
“Our panelist committee puts a lot of effort into ensuring that the individuals selected can bring very specific expertise that aligns with the challenges and opportunities facing our presenting company,” said Matt Cookson, executive director of the Council. “We look forward to hearing the advice and feedback our panel will be offering to Senet as they pursue additional opportunities in the world of the Internet of Things.” Read more.
The Council produces an annual series of three educational programs to support entrepreneurship and provide high-level resources to rapidly growing companies.
At the Entrepreneur Forum, companies present their business challenge to a panel of industry experts, and receive board-level and executive advice on how best to address their challenge, all in front of a live audience.
Each of the presenting companies receives 15 minutes to present its business plan and receive feedback from the panel of experts and the audience. The panel acts as venture advisors for an evening and provides potential solutions to challenges faced by entrepreneurial companies based on their own professional experiences and expertise.
Between the two presentations a “Sky Dive” is held, during which a company will look for feedback on a specific challenge or opportunity its company is facing.
The events are held at FIRST headquarters at 200 Bedford Street in Manchester from 5:20 pm to 8:30 pm. The cost for the event is $15 for Council members, $30 for non-members, and $10 for students.
In addition to the presentations, the event includes a cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres and networking opportunities, as well as an opportunity to engage the evening’s presenters in question and answer sessions. A second networking opportunity occurs between the two presentations, as well as a brief “sky dive” presentation by an organization that is looking to gain some visibility.
At the Forums, attendees discover how to present a plan to potential investors or gain valuable feedback on specific topics. It is a low-cost event that is designed to attract attendees including entrepreneurs who are developing a business idea or have an interest in the subject matter of the presenters, members of the financial and investment community, and students.
