Get prepared for the February 15 event with Emerson Ecologics’ Adam Carr
Here’s everything you need to know to get the most out of the first Entrepreneur Forum (EF) of 2017.
Business changes fast. Many minds are better than one. Those two principles are the foundation of our marquee EF series. We invite one company to present a unique challenge it is facing to a group of hand-picked experts who specialize in relevant and aligned fields and industries. The company, often represented by its CEO or member of its executive leadership team, gives a brief presentation of the company, challenge, opportunity, and potential solutions, and then receives advice from the panel. The event is held in front of a live audience, which is also invited to ask questions and offer feedback. Read more.
The Council produces an annual series of three educational programs to support entrepreneurship and provide high-level resources to rapidly growing companies.
At the Entrepreneur Forum, companies present their business challenge to a panel of industry experts, and receive board-level and executive advice on how best to address their challenge, all in front of a live audience.
Each of the presenting companies receives 15 minutes to present its business plan and receive feedback from the panel of experts and the audience. The panel acts as venture advisors for an evening and provides potential solutions to challenges faced by entrepreneurial companies based on their own professional experiences and expertise.
Between the two presentations a “Sky Dive” is held, during which a company will look for feedback on a specific challenge or opportunity its company is facing.
The events are held at FIRST headquarters at 200 Bedford Street in Manchester from 5:20 pm to 8:30 pm. The cost for the event is $15 for Council members, $30 for non-members, and $10 for students.
In addition to the presentations, the event includes a cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres and networking opportunities, as well as an opportunity to engage the evening’s presenters in question and answer sessions. A second networking opportunity occurs between the two presentations, as well as a brief “sky dive” presentation by an organization that is looking to gain some visibility.
At the Forums, attendees discover how to present a plan to potential investors or gain valuable feedback on specific topics. It is a low-cost event that is designed to attract attendees including entrepreneurs who are developing a business idea or have an interest in the subject matter of the presenters, members of the financial and investment community, and students.
